EuroTra (the European Transport Training Association) was established in 1990 by the following organisations.

• CETM (Confederación Española Transporte Mercanias) of Spain
• AFT-IFTIM (Association pour le développement de la Formation professionnelle dans les Transports/Institut de Formation aux Techniques d'Implantation et de Manutention) of France
• ITLB (Instituut Wegtransport en Logistiek België, vzw/ Institut du Transport Routier et Logistique Belgique, asbl) of Belgium
• ANTRAM (Associação Nacional dos Transportadores Públicos Rodoviários de Mercadorias) of Portugal
• VTL (Vakopleiding Transport en Logistiek) of the Netherlands
• ATL (Arbejdsgiverforeningen for Transport og Logistik) of Denmark
• FTA (Freight Transport Association) of the United Kingdom

Since then, the Association has grown to over 20 institutes and organisations around Europe who deliver and organise professional training of managers, truck, bus and coach drivers, warehouse and distribution staff and those involved with the transportation of dangerous goods.
