Training

Training is at the very heart of the Association, and as such we are always looking for effective and innovative ways of improving both driver and manager training programmes across Europe.

In 2010, we produced a 7 hour Driver CPC module based upon driving in the UK. It focussed on the skills and competencies that a driver needs in order to work safely and efficiently in the UK.

The training material included a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation, driver hand-outs, question papers and instructor guidance, along with promotional materials including posters and leaflets.

The work was entirely funded by the members of EuroTra, with the module being available for use by the membership and related companies.

We continue to look for new and exciting ways of delivering high quality, interactive training products through the experiences of our industry experts.

Ideas currently being discussed include load security models to allow for education without the need for full-size trucks, and a fuel efficiency programme based upon recent research from our French members.
